Louise is a former college professor (Linguistics and Literature) at Northern Virginia Community College, George Mason University, and King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She has been a reporter on Capitol Hill, and has taught Biology, Physics and Chemistry labs at WSU-Vancouver. She currently holds Sandan (3rd degree black belt) rank in Budoshin Jujitsu and Taiho-Jutsu.
